Materials are at the heart of DIAMFAB’s business. Our new pilot line will consist of several diamond deposition reactors, allowing us to synthesize the active layers of our future components through microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD). The startup and qualification of equipment are unique opportunities to perfectly understand and master a technique, and this internship will take place in this context. You will participate in the growth of various layers (for orders or R&D projects) and contribute to the startup and qualification of the new pilot line equipment. Your mission will involve preparing and characterizing wafers (substrates) for the realization of the layers and layer stacks necessary for components.
In addition to benefiting from a unique geographical location, DIAMFAB is a dynamic, multi-specialist startup with a diverse team. The implementation of our new pilot line will allow us to double our R&D equipment to accelerate our development. You will work within the Materials team under the supervision of OBRECHT Rémy and in close collaboration with the R&D engineers and PhD students of DIAMFAB. Most of the equipment used is located in a clean room.
You will be responsible for:
The following techniques will be used:
The intern is pursuing a degree equivalent to a Bachelor’s in Technology or a related field in crystallography or solid-state physics.Knowledge of epitaxy techniques and the characterization methods mentioned above would be a plus. The candidate must possess great rigor, be able to work within a multidisciplinary team, and have a strong adaptability.
