Christel Galbrun-Noel, Mobility Segment President for Schneider Electric, joins the advisory board of DIAMFAB. Her insightful vision of end user of power electronics and his business developer sensibility will be decisive to accompany DIAMFAB at all stages of its development and particularly during its international commercial deployment.
Christel Galbrun-Noel is the Mobility Segment President for Schneider Electric taking care of Automotive, Transportation infrastructure and SemiConductor customers. She has spent most of her career in Automotive sector, in particular 18 years in key Executive and global positions in Renault Nissan Alliance, in Control and Finance then business development and Strategy assignments.
In 2018, she joined Schneider Electric, the global leader in Energy Management & Automation, to help address our customer’s challenges across the Automotive Industry and the new and fast evolving Mobility landscape.
Christel is focused on accompanying Mobility stakeholders in their Digitalization journey and their transformation towards Electrification of mobility, Autonomous Driving, Mobility providers and their Sustainability agenda. Her responsibilities now also include Transportation infrastructures customers (railways, airports, e-bus, ports …) to help them address their large infrastructures upgrades and the interconnections between collective mobility and individual ones, with common challenges on sustainability, regulation, efficiency optimization through digitization. She is also responsible for SemiConductor customers, which industry is booming towards massive utilization of electronics, and is supporting their fab processes to optimize their process efficiency and sustainability footprint.
François Desmarest, financier and serial tech entrepreneur, joins the advisory board of DIAMFAB. Financial management, strategy, fund raising, business model, pricing… are all areas where François will bring his valuable experience and sound advice.

François was trained at HEC (finance option) and at Centrale Paris (Air-Space option). He has a multi-faceted career and experience, including investment banking (mergers and acquisitions, fund raising), investment (former CEO of the LMBO fund and Chairman of the Innovation branch), the creation or takeover of companies (6 in all, in tech hardware or software and digital media) and operational or financial management of startups or scaleups, all over the world but mainly in France, the UK and Switzerland. For several years he has been working in parallel with deep tech startups as an Operating Partner or part-time CFO.
Cyril’s arrival on DIAMFAB’s strategic committee is a great opportunity for the development of our start-up. In addition to his recommendations on the semiconductor industry, Cyril will also provide DIAMFAB with his valuable management advice and above all his innovative strategic vision.
Cyril joined Soitec in 2006 and became Head of the Bernin site in 2012 and then Executive Vice President Operations in 2018. Previously, he was in charge of device engineering and then process engineering at IBM Semiconductor. He was in charge of process development, technology transfer and production acceleration.
Cyril Menon holds a master’s degree in physics from Grenoble INP, a thesis in microelectronics from the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology and a degree in management from Harvard Business School.
On July the 4th of 2019, DiamFab has been awarded by the Jury’s Grand Prize of a major public technological innovation competition organized by French Ministry of higher education, research and innovation and BPI (French Public Bank Investment).
This major accomplishment represents a public recognition of our work as well as a financial support from French government to pursue our development .
